Actually, it is not a musical entirely but there are these little musical numbers in the middle that reflect the innocence of Bjork’s character in the amid an emotionally brutal scene.

Emotionally charged film with a heartbreaking story. It’s a must see if you are looking for a strong female performance that shatters every Hollywood actress out there from a singer who never acted and vowed to never act again after this film due to the emotional scars it left her.
The final moment of the film is one of the most jaw-droppingly amazing endings one will ever see on film.
