Just if you’re one of those who were wondering what is exactly Bu Tinah island that everyone is bugging us about voting for, here are some pictures of the tiny island. it’s great that the UAE is preserving such a mini heaven on earth. It’s a little isolated island that is supposed to be isolated from any human activity.
Bu Tinah Island, off the coast of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, has been shortlisted as a finalist from almost 500 sites of outstanding natural beauty from around the world in the environmental “World Cup” known as the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
Thanks to being among the best protected natural areas of all the finalists, it is home to the world’s healthiest population of dugongs – gentle dolphin-like ‘sea cows’ that graze on sea grass – as well as uniquely hardy coral reefs that survive some of the most extreme conditions on planet Earth.
Bu Tinah is the only finalist from the Arabian Gulf and a source of pride throughout the region.
