David Guttenfelder might be the only one who brought the war on Afghanistan closer to the American public in particular and the global eye in general. His style of photography allows the shot to do all the talking. Sometimes bitter, sometimes satiric, and sometimes plain sorrow. Guttenfelder, who is based in Tokyo Japan, is the chief Asia photographer for The Associated Press. Since his work is dense and high in magnitude, we thought about featuring him in several posts in the future covering his trips to Afghanistan, Rwanda, Tokyo and other cities he visited.
